What is the Political Courage Test?

Presidential Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I don't believe in the "pro-choice" or "pro-life" labels. I believe it is wrong for one person to take the life of another. I have no way of knowing at what point life begins, and I do not believe there is any scientific way to prove that one way or another. Therefore, I believe that it is a woman's responsibility to make the right decision, both with respect to contraception and abortion.

I believe that more can be done with less, and that the tax code should be simplified so that tax loopholes are eliminated. There is much too much waste, and too many people avoid paying their appropriate share of taxes. I believe all areas of spending can be reduced by using taxpayer money more carefully and efficiently. I believe that efficiency improvements can offer a greater amount of government services with less spending. On Medicaid and Medicare, costs can be reduced by tying benefits to requiring healthier lifestyles for recipients.
I believe that through efficiency gains across the board cuts in spending can more than be matched by more efficient services.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
I believe all campaign contributions should be eliminated.

Yes Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
To receive health care benefits from the government, individuals should be educated about and required to adopt healthier lifestyles - the high cost of healthcare is the result of individuals living unhealthy lifestyles.

Yes Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?

Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
Individuals should be allowed to choose whether to contribute to Social Security or to take responsibilty for their own retirement accounts.
1. Get politicians out of government, allow more direct participation by individuals. Its time to take advantage of the communications tools available today, to eliminate the established bureaucracy, and to allow all interested and qualified individuals to use modern communications tools to have a direct say in government, including direct elections of office holders and direct approval of laws.
